Zacatepec, Morelos, México.- Al desmentir que los obreros del ingenio Emiliano Zapata, se pueden quedar sin pago, debido a que hay un Contrato de trabajo con la empresa, el presidente de la Unión Local de Productores de Caña de la Confederación Nacional Campesina (ULPC-CNC), Aristeo Rodríguez Barrera, afirmó que sus representados están “bien puestos” para cerrar instituciones en México y Morelos de la Secretaría de Agricultura Ganadería Pesca y Alimentación  (Sagarpa) si el precio del bulto de azúcar no sube como lo pretenden.

 

El bulto de azúcar debe costar a 500 pesos “y que sea un precio sostenido. Que los 365 días del año nos permita ganar”, para que a los productores “nos vaya bien. A menos nos va a ir de la fregada”, sentenció el líder cañero entrevistado afuera de las instalaciones de la ULPC-CNC.

Resaltó que es el punto de la lucha, de lo contrario, si no sube el precio del bulto, no pueden enfrentar los cañeros su producción y competir ante los elevados precios de los insumos en el campo.

En cuanto a las declaraciones del secretario general de la sección 72 del Sindicato de Trabajadores de la Industria Azucarera y Similares de la República Mexicana (STIASRM), Víctor Manuel Velarde Díaz, quien aseguró que el gerente del ingenio, Rodolfo Villanueva Zalapa, le advirtió que de continuar con el movimiento los cañeros, para este día se detendría la zafra porque no habría para pagarles, el líder cañero Aristeo Rodríguez, señaló: “si quieren parar que paren”.

Sin embargo, recordó que resultaría perjudicial para la misma empresa, pues se haría responsable de toda la caña que quede en campo, al igual que por las cañas accidentadas, “a nosotros nos tiene que pagar al 100 por ciento y que nos diga cuándo va a parar la zafra ya se empiecen a sacar de los campos y se venda o se pase al ganado, no sé, pero de que nos las va a pagar al 100% lo va a pagar. Eso no nos espanta”.

Dijo que ningún ingenio ha parado en la República Mexicana, pues todos tienen bodegas del azúcar libre que tienen.

Van a resistir “el tiempo que sea necesario” y cuando las dirigencias nacionales les ordenen, procederán a tomar Sagarpa, la de economía y la que se tenga que tomar.

Es preocupante, añadió, que se sigue vendiendo barata el azúcar y sólo se ha incrementado el precio en 60 centavos.

De su lado, el líder obrero Víctor Manuel Velarde, informó que el pago de los obreros están garantizados. Añadió que la empresa maneja que podrían parar zafra, pero no les perjudica a sus intereses.

Informó que sus líderes nacionales pidieron que se mantuvieran unidos y le confirmaron que no les afecta el paro de la zafra.
